Software Asset Management
Software Asset Management is an essential aspect of every business and we are able to offer our clients all the benefits of an efficient, effective and on-going SAM policy.An effective SAM policy not only ensures that a clients business is compliant with all current software usage laws and policies, but also assists in ensuring continued compliance; protection against the use of unauthorised software usage on the network; cost effective and efficient use of licences by monitoring under-used licences as well as identifying licence shortages, educates the client's employees in the correct use of software and licencing; and promotes cost saving and ease of licence management; and helps to eradicate down-time caused by viruses and other potential file corruptions by ensuring the installation of patches and updates regularly on the network.
- Perform a SAM inventory - includes all desktops and servers on the network
- Document the findings in a report to Management
- Compare Licence Inventory with existing Product Use Rights (PUR) and Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or Volume Licence Agreements
- Recommend action to be taken (depending on the findings of the report)
- Ensure the creation of efficient purchasing, documentation, and monitoring systems and review regularly
